Can crinkle paper be recycled?
All of our single color crinkle paper can be recycled since it is made from recycled paper.
This excludes gold blends which contain metallic plastic material that comes from recycled materials but is not recyclable.
Check with your local recycling plant about the sorting rules for your area. Usually, you can put shredded paper in the recycling bin. Can shredded paper be recycled? Yes!
Can shredded paper be composted?
All of our dyes are nontoxic and acid free. Our crinkle cut shred can improve your compost by boosting carbon content and moisture retention. Composting is one of the best ways to discard your used paper shred.
How much crinkle paper do I need?
The best way to figure this out for a box is by cubic inches. To figure out cubic inches simply multiply the lengths of the sides of your box.
Example: your bridesmaid’s proposal boxes are 10”x6”x2” you would come up with 120 cubic inches per box. 1lb of crinkle paper is about 500 cubic inches. You’d be able to completely fill more than 4 bridesmaid boxes with 1lb of cut shredded paper. Since you’re also putting gifts in these boxes, you’ll only need half as much.
